Karen Shahan, APRN grew up in Waco, TX before moving to Illinois after graduating high school, where she lived for 30 years. Once they became empty nesters, Karen and her husband decided to move back home to Texas in 2020.
Karen began her nursing career 24 years ago in hospitals with a primary focus in ICU. Undergraduate studies were completed at Purdue University in Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Within three weeks of completing her Bachelor’s degree, Karen continued her educational journey by starting her graduate program. She attended University of St. Francies in Joliet, Illinois. Graduating in 2016 with a Master of Science in Nursing.

Karen enjoys traveling, going to the shooting range, loving on her 3 dogs and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
